I'm sure you hate when your beautiful brushed or shiny sterling jewelry gets tarnished, sadly there's no way to avoid it completely, but the good news is that there's a way to prevent it, you may have to change some of your habits, goodbye to the coat rack and the little plate on the night table, but, it well worth it!

estoy segura de que odias cuando tus joyas de plata favoritas se ennegrecen, lamentablemente no hay manera de evitarlo por completo, la buena noticia es que hay si se puede prevenir aunque, puede que tengas que cambiar algunos de tus hábitos, adiós al perchero y al platito de la mesita de noche, pero, ¡vale la pena!

as you'll be able to delay the nasty tarnish by following these simple steps:

• do not leave your jewelry exposed to the elements when not in use.
• keep your jewelry in a sealed container
• add to your jewelry-sealed container a piece of chalk or a silica bag
• avoid using your jewelry while manipulating chemicals, including soap and detergent 
• never spray perfume directly onto your jewelry pieces, let perfume dry before wearing it on
• do not wear your jewelry while taking a bath, in a swimming pool, or at the sea.

I recommend using a small plastic container or a zip bag, be sure to keep the tiny silica bags included in shoes or medicines, they'll be handy to reuse!

ya que podrás retrasar el desagradable tono sucio siguiendo estos sencillos pasos:

• no dejes tus joyas expuestas a la intemperie cuando no las utilices.
• guarda tus joyas en un recipiente cerrado, preferentemente hermético
• añade al recipiente de guardado un pedazo de gis (tiza) o una bolsita de sílice
• evita usar tus joyas mientras manipulas productos químicos, incluyendo jabón y detergente 
• no rocíes nunca perfume directamente sobre tus joyería, espera a que el perfume se seque antes de ponértela
• no uses tus joyas mientras te bañas, duchas, en una piscina o en el mar.

te recomiendo que utilices un pequeño contenedor de plástico o una bolsa plástica sellable, asegúrate de guardar las pequeñas bolsas de sílice incluidas en los zapatos o medicamentos, ¡te serán muy útiles para reutilizarlas!
